Description
I often reference the work of artists I admire as inspiration for my artwork. As I contemplated the title of this piece, I realized that we as a world are walking in an uncertain type of storm. How do we walk without falling? How do we find hope and encouragement when we are overwhelmed by the world around us? These are all good questions.
As I worked and as the forms and colors were coming together I wanted to create a very distinct bright spot, or focal point while the surrounding colors remained subdued.
I believe we must find a focal point in life. A place we look to when the emotions are overwhelming and the doubts are increasing.
This piece is called Dancing in the Storm, because I believe that even in the storm, there is light.
